Wasaga Beach Is Warming Up Nicely For May 2-4 Weekend (Video)
70 + Degrees Forecast For The Victoria Holiday Weekend
The sand is groomed and the sun is shining; Wasaga Beach is open for business.
Earlier this week the wind surfers and kite surfers ( if that is the right term) were out in force at Wasaga Beach Area 1. Taking advantage of the glorious weather, windy conditions obviously and the lack of people on the beach there was a swarm of activity.
I can promise you there won’t be room for them over the next few days:)

The Beach In Winter Is Just So Pretty (Video)
Maybe Not For Swimming Though
My family spent New Year with my cousin in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. On New Years Day we took part in the annual Polar Bear Plunge; ironic to anyone who lives in Canada as the temperature was touching 80 degrees.
Contrast this with the beaches here in Canada during winter.

I met David Hutchinson yesterday the owner of Wasaga Beach Decorating and our Century 21 neighbour in Stonebridge Town Centre.
I can tell you I am a worried man. The light fixtures in the shop are fantastic and my wife will be there for hours with our credit card!!! Having said that the prices are very reasonable. No doubt she wil be enamored with the Benjamin More paints and have ideas on redecorating. I can’t win. Fortunately we don’t need window coverings as they carry an extensive range as well. I presume we don’t need them but you never know.
This weekend is the Grand Opening of Wasaga Beach Decorating. I truly believe we need to shop locally. These businesses need our support to help the whole community thrive. Why not spend some some at the store on Saturday where there will be a charity lunch and a representatives from the window covering manufacturers?

Is Social Media Useful In Selling Your House?
Does Your Realtor Need To Be On Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn Etc?
I was on a course yesterday and saw the video below. It’s a few minutes long but stick with it, the numbers are quite incredible.
It’s interesting stuff; look at the figure for the fastest growing demographic Of Facebook users 90 seconds into the video. But what does it have to do with Real Estate? This may be simplistic but let me know if you agree with my thinking.
The content looks world wide and concentrates on Social Media. Canadians spend more time on line than any other nationality.
Now it isn’t a huge leap to say that these Canadians are spending a large proportion of this time on Social Media sites. These people BUY homes.
Should your Realtor be building relationships on Facebook, Twitter, LinkIn and the like? If he or she wants to meet buyers I would say YES.

October At Waterside Retirement Home In Wasaga Beach (Video)
Waterside In Wasaga Beach Is More Than Just A Retirement Home
Located in Zoo Park Road North, just round the corner from Stonebridge Town Centre, Waterside Retirement Home is a modern facility open to non residents. Not just seniors but businesses for example will find meeting rooms and catering that is hard to beat.
I looked around some of the rooms and for retirees looking for long or short term stays or I can say is Wow; you will be impressed.
I met with the general manager Krista Young. She invited everyone to tour the home and enjoy some of the events in October:
