Wasaga Beach Youth Centre Yard Sale A Huge Success

Thank You Wasaga Beach From Trish Woods The WBYC Youth Coordinator

“Thanks to Project Unlimited Off Road Division, the youth centre raised $484.64 on Saturday, July 2nd!!  The Yard sale was a big success with sunshine, food and fun!  Not only did the youth centre raise some money, it also gave the chance for some of the youth gain their volunteer hours and meet the community.

The money raised from this fundraiser will be going to the centre’s programming and events to help fund outings for the youth that they would not normally have the opportunity to go on.  The youth would really like to thank the community for either renting a table at the yard sale or for donating their items.  Without the communities help and support, this would not have been possible!!

We also would like to give a special thank you to Project Unlimited!  Aaron, John, Matt, Thomas and Rick did a fantastic job helping set up, manning the BBQ and spreading the word!!  We really appreciate all you have done for our centre and we can’t wait to see your Jeep Show at Stonebridge Plaza on August long weekend!

For More information about Project Unlimited Off Road Division, contact Aaron at 705-446-7127 or for more information about the Wasaga Beach Youth Centre, contact Trish at 705-422-2494.

Look out for our next fundraiser!  Saturday July 16th and Saturday July 30th our youth will be bringing out the BBQ and having a BBQ and Car Wash!! Bring your cars, vans, trucks, boats and ATV’s and we’ll wash them!  See you here at 1621 Mosley Street from 12-4pm!”

Do Sunsets Get Any More Beautiful Than Last Night In Wasaga Beach?

Forget Smelling The Coffee Or Roses. Stop & Watch A Wasaga Beach Sunset

I went out to walk the dog with my wife last night about 8-30.  Enough time to get home for Donald Trump and the Celebrity Apprentice.

What an awesome sunset greeted us.

Fortunately my friend Henning had the foresight to get out with a camera. As he says on the Henning Geiler Photography Facebook Page:

“Quickly dashed to the beach when I saw the setting sun hit the clouds out of my living room window.”

Henning Geiler Captures The Beauty Of Wasaga Beach In Winter

The first photo was taken from Wasaga Beach 1. Notice the snow mobile tracks everywhere and the snow squall in the background hiding the Blue Mountains.

It was minus 21 degrees when the other 2 photos were taken today! Now I know the song states that “only mad dogs and Englishmen go out in the mid-day sun” but what about photographers in these conditions :)

Day 281: More News From The Blue Mountains (Video)

You Can Now Go Skating This Winter At The Village At Blue Mountain

One of my favourite things when driving around Wasaga Beach in the evening is seeing the lights on the ski hills at Blue Mountain. Joe Bickerstaff from Beach BOOSTER has captured the scene in the photo below.

After the recent thaw the Blue Mountains are again fully open and there is even more to do in the Village At Blue Mountain. Check it out on this video:
