Title
Day 13: “Daddy Can We Go For A Chinese Please?”
Day 13 of 365
Slowly but surely Wasaga Beach is getting a good variety of restaurants and we don’t have to drive to Collingwood or The Village At Blue for something different
It was Saturday evening and my wife was off to help celebrate a girlfriends birthday. A “Sex And The City” theme with a host of other women although what Carrie and co would make of Wasaga Beach I don’t know. In my opinion an evening to miss so I went to the Bamboo Terrace in the Stonebridge Town Centre with my 7 year old daughter.
The original Bamboo Terrace is in Collingwood although I have never liked the look of it from the outside and not ventured in. A bit illogical I know but if the building looks worn then I question the quality of the food; friends say the Collingwood Chinese is fine but I just don’t fancy it.
The Stonebridge Town Centre Bamboo Terrace in Wasaga Beach though only opened last year and is clean, comfortable, friendly and reasonably priced. Oh yes the food is good as well
Quite a few tables were occupied but the service was quick and we soon tucked in to their “tidbits” starter followed by Chicken with Mangoes and rice. The restaurant doesn’t cook with Mono Sodium Glutamate ( MSG ) which is a big plus. It’s nice not to feel thirsty all night after a few dishes with MSG and contray to the cliche we were not hungry an hour later. More than enough food and a few tidbits and rice were bought home.
“Daddy can we go for a Chinese?” Yes there’s a good one now in Wasaga Beach.
