Title
Wasaga Beach 2009 Real Estate Sales Figures; July Update
Now as some of you may have noticed I am quite fond of illustrating a point with a quote and not adverse to using it out of context as well. Buying and selling homes in Wasaga Beach in no way what so ever is normally related to Sir Winston Churchill. BUT this seems apt when looking at July figures:
“Now this is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning.”
Sir Winston Churchill, Speech in November 1942. British politician (1874 – 1965)
We “may” be turning the corner. At the very least buyers are no longer sitting on the fence.
The Georgian Triangle Real Estate Board as a whole also saw better figures than last year for the 2nd month running. I will post the GTA figures as soon as they are available as this influences sales in Wasaga Beach. I can say that the Century 21 Millennium Inc office in Brampton was extremely busy in July.
Average Sale Price July 2008 – July 2009 $249,445
Average Sale Price July 2007 - July 2008 $253,467

[...] have been sitting on the fence and have now burst into the market to create these record figures. Wasaga Beach is following this national trend and with the number of sales in the GTA should continue to do so. [...]
