Questions A Realtor Should Ask You

A Realtor should understand all your motivations behind buying a home

All buyers are unique and should received a service catered specifically to their requirements. This is especially  true for first time buyers who are in uncharted waters. A decent Realtor will spend time finding out the following points:

  • Are you pre-approved?
  • What sort of house are you looking for; style, size, must haves etc?
  • How many people are going to live in the house?
  • Are there any children?
  • Where does each member of the household work?
  • Does anyone work from home?
  • What hobbies or pastimes you do?
  • What are your future real estate plans; move somewhere bigger eventually or adapt this house for future use?

All these questions may seem obvious for anyone that has purchased a number of homes. But for first time buyers and the less experienced the questions may cover areas not previously thought of. In any case a Realtor “should” want as much relevant information as possible.

If you are buying a home in Wasaga Beach, even though it is a small town there is a huge range of different prices and styles aswell as different areas: watefront, sub divisions, older streets etc. A Realtor can help narrow down the choices available if he or she knows the buyers wants and wishes.
